The Waardewerk partnership is an independent appraisal and consultancy firm that excels in the expert appraisal of art, antiques, valuables and historical objects. We help museums, companies and governments with the valuation of their objects and donations, and with the tracing, assessment, purchase and pre-financing of collection items. Our regular clients include the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands and the House of European History (The museum of the European Parliament) in Brussels.
Team working
The partners in Waardewerk are Rob Driessen and Erik Paol, two certified registered appraisers with over fifty years of experience in their field. Both partners are members of two professional organizations, TMV (Federation of Appraisers, Brokers, Auctioneers in Movable Property) and RICS (The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors). Rob and Erik are supported by Kim Nathalia and Romy Beck, and a select group of certified freelance specialists. Thanks to this approach, Waardewerk can guarantee that the client always receives the very best expertise in any field, with the absolute convenience of a single point of contact.
Quality & ethics
Accuracy, transparency and professionalism are of paramount importance at Waardewerk. An essential starting point is that the partners do not represent commercial positions and can be completely objective. The working method is largely based on best practices from RICS, the international professional organization of valuers in movable and immovable property. In the global standards ‘Red Book’ of RICS, these best practices are anchored in a series of ethical principles regarding independence, which can be summarised in five ground rules:

Tariffs
The standard hourly rate is € 140 excluding VAT, with a minimum of € 420 excluding VAT. Travel and accommodation expenses are charged accordingly. Quotations are based on a comprehensive consultation with the client and the best possible preparation. We invest in a clear confirmation of the order, so that the execution and delivery of the all the tasks run smoothly. Everything is based on an unambiguous quote showing all charges.
